To start off, I really don’t associate myself with a particular denomination. Some people would classify me as a pentacostal, but if I were to label myself specifically, it would be more like a charismatic-baptist. To be honest, though, I really don’t need to be labelled. I follow and believe what the Bible says, and don’t want to be caught up in political jibberish about who’s right and who’s wrong. I am interested in the Word of God and what He has done in the past, and what He is doing right now.
I have gone to many churches, and even had a brief passage of time when I did not attend a church at all. From my journeys in different churches, denominations, and charismatic levels, I’ve discovered one thing: God is present where He is welcomed. I don’t mean He isn’t present other places, but He does make His presence known when He is welcomed, because He is, among many things, a gentleman. I’ve been to churches where it was obvious God was not welcomed there, and to other churches where God made Himself present there regularly.
So, what denomination am I? I’m a Jesus Follower.
